Just a week after the American singer uploaded a video on Twitter singing "Poor Unfortunate Souls", a determined fan made a petition, to ensure Lizzo gets the role as Ursula in the upcoming live-action movie, The Little Mermaid. But who's the real Lizzo? Let's take a closer look at the Atlantic Records signed artist.

She's a triple threat that's not slowing down for anyone. The rapper, singer and songwriter is building her confidence through body positivity, and I'm here for it! What makes her different? Lizzo is not your typical "packaged" artist. She is raw, outspoken and plus-sized and that's why her fans love. The 31-year old performer continues to use her platform to send out positive messages about body image to others. We see this in her most recent album cover "Cuz I love You", the artist ditches her clothes and poses completely nude, shocking the industry. I personally think this is a step in the right direction for the industry, we tend to only see a certain body type and nothing else. Lizzo is on a mission to create her own lane and break that status quo, by just being her self and playing her flute.
